Ensemble's business strategy includes partnering with leading pharmaceutical companies, enabling partners to access Ensemble's proprietary technology and expertise through R&D collaborations and licensing arrangements.

Ensemble has established a number of high-value partnerships, including alliances with Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) and Pfizer. Our alliance with BMS was established in April 2009 to deploy Ensemble's  platform technologies against eight exclusive high-value targets and collaboratively develop pharmaceutical leads. BMS has the exclusive right to develop and commercialize products arising from the research program. In April 2011, Ensemble announced that it had achieved an important milestone in its research collaboration with BMS by successfully developing Ensemblins against one of the eight designated drug targets, including achievement of potency, selectivity and key pharmacokinetic criteria. The program associated with this contractual milestone has transitioned to Bristol-Myers Squibb for further development, precipitating a milestone payment from BMS to Ensemble.  In January 2012, Ensemble and Bristol-Myers Squibb agreed to continue pursuing all collaboration targets beyond the original term of the alliance.

An Ensemble-Pfizer Alliance was established in January 2010 to deploy Ensemble's platform technologies against a number of exclusive commercially valuable protein-protein interaction targets, and to jointly collaborate on the discovery of leads against those targets. Pfizer obtained rights to develop the molecule leads through the clinic and commercialize them.
